Hey Carrot Ranchers!

While the relocation of CarrotRanch.com was successful, it’s become more of a muddy mess than I anticipated. First, I had to focus on the issues caused by redirecting the domain DNS. Then I had to troubleshoot problems within the dashboard, and deal with an unsolicited staging site created by WP because I moved.

The new theme and branding are installed, though you won’t see pages until they are rewritten and branded. I finally have brand issues resolved that have been problematic for years. I’ve had so much fun playing with the new brand elements and hope to delight you with a unique experience at Carrot Ranch where 99-word story challenges will remain at its center with the Ranchers at heart and in mind.

This past weekend, Divi Builder guided me in the process of building a blog template in the Divi Builder. There’s a lot to building a website from scratch, but I’ve wanted to do this for over three years, now. It’s coming together on the backside but not yet on the front. Many of you are having issues with comments and subscription notifications but I can’t fix those problems until I complete the blog rebuild.

Because posting, commenting, and submitting are problematic as the construction unfolds, I’m taking a hiatus until April 30. Then, we will test the new features. And you will see what’s been under all this mud. Your encouragement and patience are greatly appreciated!

See you at the end of the month for the big reveal.

If I knew how to put the “You Can Do It” Image in I would!!
    All the best.
Sent you an email because that weird code message popped up again.

I’m so pleased that I got an email notification about this new post, because I wasn’t getting them. Fingers crossed that’s one problem sorted, Charli.

I’m also getting the following error message showing when I click on the read more link –

Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/customer/www/carrotranch.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gutenberg/lib/compat/wordpress-6.6/resolve-patterns.php on line 69

That’s all beyond me, but hopefully it’ll go away by the time you have finished work on the new site.

    Good luck.

I am patient. You are patient. We are patient. Every birth takes a while, but worth the wait.

We need to always remember Real Life comes before all else. Even though Fictitonal Lives Matter – we need to give time and grace to those who are having some additional challenges besides just having to build a better Blog.

So – with that said – Charli – no need to tell us the whys and wherefores… Just take it one day at a time and skip deadlines. When Carrot Ranch is Live – Someone will know and pass the word around!
